"UFOs By The Decade" is a collection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, sterling silver jewelry that traces a century of mysterious aerial phenomena through wearable art.
Each piece is drawn and then crafted by hand, representing iconic UFO shapes that defined different eras – from classic saucers to enigmatic triangles. While certain shapes may be associated with specific decades, the phenomenon refuses to be neatly categorized, showing us that mystery knows no timeline.
Every piece comes with its own story, sharing the real-life encounter that inspired its design. This collection isn't just jewelry – it's a metallic archive of humanity's most compelling encounters with the unknown, designed for those who keep their eyes on the skies and their minds open to wonder.

1930s
Long before Roswell made headlines, the 1933 Magenta UFO incident kicked off what we now see as the modern era of UFO sightings. A disc-shaped craft reportedly crashed near Magenta, Italy, sparking immediate military interest. But the real twist? Rumors suggest Mussolini himself got involved, assembling a secret research group, Cabinet RS/33, to study the mysterious object. While the details remain shrouded in secrecy and speculation, this early UFO encounter set the stage for decades of investigations, fueling the ever-growing mystery of what might be lurking in our skies.
1940s
In June 1947, pilot Kenneth Arnold was flying near Mount Rainier when he spotted something strange—nine shiny, crescent-shaped objects zipping through the sky at incredible speeds. He described their movement as "like saucers skipping on water," unintentionally giving birth to the term "flying saucer." The sighting exploded in the media, sparking a wave of UFO reports and kicking off the modern era of unexplained aerial encounters. Arnold’s experience remains one of the most iconic UFO sightings in history, forever shaping how we think about unidentified flying objects.
1950s
In the summer of 1951, the quiet town of Lubbock, Texas, became the center of one of the most famous UFO mysteries in history. Three college professors were deep in conversation when an arc of glowing bluish-green lights streaked across the sky in a perfect V-formation. The sightings didn’t stop there—hundreds of locals soon reported seeing the same eerie lights, darting across the night sky with impossible speed and precision. Then came the images: teenage photographer Carl Hart Jr. snapped a series of now-iconic photos, sending the Lubbock Lights soaring into UFO legend.
1960s
The 1960s portion of my collection is represented not by one specific incident, but by the Saucers of their time, such as the mysterious Betty and Barney Hill abduction, the unsettling events at Malmstrom AFB, and the eerie Berkshire UFO encounters. These moments sparked a fascination with the skies, forever changing the way we look at the unknown.
Step into the Saucer Era with these pieces, and experience the bold, enigmatic designs that capture the spirit of that transformative decade.
1970s
On October 11, 1973, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker were fishing along the Pascagoula River in Mississippi when they encountered a UFO unlike anything they'd ever seen. The craft, an oval-shaped object hovering just 30 feet above the ground and emitted a bright, intense glow. The men watched in awe as the craft approached silently and hovered nearby. Before they knew it, the hatch opened, and three mysterious, grey-skinned beings emerged, abducting the men and taking them aboard the craft. The glowing, metallic UFO left an indelible mark on their lives and sparked one of the most famous UFO abduction stories to date.
1980s
For this era, I have featured three iconic encounters: the Rendlesham Forest Incident, the Hudson Valley Flap, and the Belgium UFO Flap.
Each of these are timeless tributes to the unexplained events that shaped UFO history.

1990s
On the night of March 13, 1997, the skies over Arizona, Nevada, and Sonora, Mexico, were lit up by one of the most captivating UFO events in history: the Phoenix Lights. Witnessed by hundreds of people, this mysterious spectacle included a massive V-shaped formation of lights slowly drifting across the sky and a series of stationary orbs hovering over Phoenix. While the U.S. Air Force later claimed the lights were military flares, many witnesses—including Arizona's governor—believed they saw something otherworldly. Whether it was a secret military exercise or a genuine UFO encounter, the Phoenix Lights remain a defining moment in UFO lore, sparking curiosity and debate that continues to this day.

In 2015, U.S. Navy pilots off the coast of Florida encountered something truly bizarre—a flying object that moved in ways no known aircraft should. Captured on infrared camera, this oval-shaped craft appeared to rotate mid-flight, defying conventional aerodynamics. The pilots' surprised reactions were caught on audio, adding to the mystery. Nicknamed "Gimbal," the footage became one of the most famous UAP videos ever released, fueling speculation about what was really in the sky that day. Whether advanced technology or something entirely unknown, the Gimbal UFO remains one of the most compelling modern sightings.
