SIZING FOR BANGLES AND CUFFS

How to Size for Bangles and Cuff Bracelets Guide:

Proper sizing ensures that your jewelry fits comfortably and looks stunning. Follow these simple steps to find your perfect fit.

Reminder: A BANGLE is a closed (circle) bracelet. A CUFF is open in the back where you slip your wrist through.

Materials Needed:

  • Flexible measuring tape or string
  • Ruler or measuring tool

SIZING FOR BANGLES:

*It’s important to note that for BANGLES, you are not measuring your WRIST. You are measuring the largest part of your HAND so that the bangle will slip over it.

In my personal opinion, bangles should be somewhat snug to slip on so that they are not too large around your wrist. As long as you can slip it on and off, and maybe even with lotion or soap & water, you’re all good!

  • Wrap the measuring tape or string: Start by wrapping the measuring tape or string snugly around the widest part of your hand, typically at the top knuckles of your hand. Make sure the tape or string lies flat against your skin without pulling too tight or leaving gaps.
  • Take the Measurement: Once wrapped around your hand, note the point where the tape or string meets. If using a string, mark the spot with a pen or marker. Then, lay the string flat against a ruler to obtain the measurement in inches or centimeters.
  • Repeat for Accuracy: For the most accurate measurement, repeat the process multiple times and take the average. This helps ensure consistency and eliminates any discrepancies.

What's your size?

Hand Measurement (inches) = Bangle Size

*Example: the photo below shows her bangle size being 7.5"

**Best to choose an avialble bangle size that is closest to your measurement.

    SIZING FOR CUFF BRACELETS:

For cuffs, you are measuring your WRIST.

    • Wrap the Measuring Tape or String: Place the measuring tape or string around your wrist, just above the wrist bone, or where you want to wear the cuff.
    • Take the Measurement: Note the point where the tape or string meets and record the measurement in inches.
    • Consider the Fit: Depending on personal preference, you may want to add an additional 0.5 inch to the measurement for a comfortable fit.

    So, what is your size?

Your size is the measurement of your wrist in inches, minus 1” for the gap.

Example: In the image below, the cuff size would be 5.5" becuase the wrist shown here measures 6.5”. Take your measurement and subtract 1 inch. That is what your cuff size will be.

(If it’s not spot on a line, then just round up)
