Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

Q: Is Sterling Silver a good quality metal?

A: Yes, sterling silver is considered to be a good quality metal. It's an alloy made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper. It's even nickel-free and considered hypoallergenic. It's also timeless, durable and when cared for properly, will last many generations. And, it will never turn your skin green!

Q: Does Sterling Silver tarnish?

A: Yes, sterling silver can tarnish over time due to exposure to air, moisture, and certain chemicals. Tarnishing is a natural process and can be easily remedied with proper cleaning and maintenance. It's important not to use harsh cleaning products or chemicals while wearing sterling silver jewelry.

Q: How do I polish my new piece?

A: I include a little white polishing tab with every purchase. You can use this until it turns completely grey/black.

Q: How do I clean my jewelry?

A: Just sterling silver, you can wash with mild soap and water.

If you're piece has a stone, try not to submerge it under water. If you must clean thoroughly, use water and a tiny drop of dish soap while avoiding the stone. Some stones don't like soap & water. Do not use harsh cleaning products or chemicals. Also, it is best not to swim or shower in my jewelry.

Q: Can I get a refund if I changed my mind or if it doesn't fit?

A: Yes, you can request a return for a refund within 14 days of delivery. Customer is responsible for return/exchange shipping. The piece must be returned in unworn/unused condition and in original packaging. Request must be within 14 days of delivery. After that, it is eligible for exchange only, for a piece of equal value. Returns/Exchanges are not excepted on broken items, unless it is deemed a maker error. No returns or exchanges on custom pieces.

Q: Can I exchange a piece of jewelry I bought here?

A: Yes, as long as it is unworn, unused and in it's original packaging AND with 14 days of delivery, you can exchange for another piece of jewelry that is of equal value. Or pay the difference for piece of a higher price range. I do not give money back on a piece of lesser value.

Q: How do I store my piece when I’m not wearing it?

A: It’s best to keep your piece in an air tight storage (bag or box) to minimize the chance of tarnishing.

Side note: An intentional oxidizing process has been applied to the silver to darken certain areas/crevices and to give an antiqued look. When polishing jewelry, take care to not remove these accents.

Q: Do you offer repairs on a piece I've purchased here?

A: Yes. While my intention is to make a product of the highest quality, there may come a time when your piece needs some attention or repair. If I’m able to repair your piece, I’m more than happy to do so free of charge within 3 months of purchase. After 3 months, it will be subject to material and labor costs. Customer is responsible for shipping costs. Stones cannot be repaired or replaced.

Q: Can I commission a piece using my personal stone?

A: No. I take much time and care to choose my stones. I only use stones that I have acquired myself because it is essential to me to know where they come from and that they are ethically sourced.

Q: Should I order a larger size for a wide band ring?

A: When it comes to wider band rings, it is generally recommended to order a slightly larger size compared to what you would typically wear for a narrower band ring. This is because wider bands have more surface area and therefore require a little extra room to fit comfortably on your finger. Its a good idea to size up about 1/4 - 1/2 size. So when ordering a wider band and you're technically a size 7, going for a size 7.25-7.5 may feel more comfortable.

Q: How do I find my bracelet or cuff size?
